The Mercury jumped out to an early lead, going up 8-0. They maintained their advantage throughout the first half, holding a 49-38 lead at the break. Griner and Taurasi each scored 13 points for the Mercury in the first half.
The Fever turned the game around in the third quarter with a 17-0 run. They took the lead for good with just over 5 minutes remaining in the quarter.
