Boston Led the Fever to a 3-0 Record Last Week
The 2023 No. 1 overall pick averaged 20.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.7 steals per game
Aliyah Boston has been named the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the period ending June 11, the league announced today. Boston led the Fever to a 3-0 record last week, averaging 20.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.7 steals per game.
In a 92-86 win over the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday, Boston had 22 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals. She followed that up with a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double in a 84-77 win over the Chicago Sky on Friday.
Boston's best performance of the week came in a 96-89 win over the Connecticut Sun on Sunday. She finished with 24 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals.
Boston is the first Fever player to win Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors since Tamika Catchings in 2016.
The Fever are now 6-3 on the season and are in second place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Boston and the Fever will be back in action on Tuesday when they host the Dallas Wings.
