Celtic Crowned Scottish Premiership Champions
Third Title in a Row for Rodgers' Side
Brave Return Pays Off for Manager
Celtic have been crowned Scottish Premiership champions for the third season in a row after a 2-1 win over Rangers at Ibrox. Brendan Rodgers' side took the lead in the first half through Odsonne Edouard, but Rangers levelled through Alfredo Morelos before the break. Celtic regained the lead in the second half through James Forrest, and held on to secure the title. The victory means that Celtic have now won the Scottish Premiership title 51 times, extending their lead over Rangers at the top of the all-time table. It is also Rodgers' third title in a row since he returned to the club in 2016. In a post-match interview, Rodgers said that he was delighted with his team's performance and that he felt that they deserved to win the title. He said: "I'm very proud of the players. They've been outstanding all season and they've shown great character to come back from behind today. "We knew it would be a tough game, but we stuck to our game plan and we got the win. We're delighted to be crowned champions again."
