The regular season of the 2023/24 Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) will conclude on March 4th. On that day, the teams that will participate in the DEL2 relegation round will be determined.
For the first time, the DEL2 relegation round will be played in a new format. For Dresdner Eislöwen, this will be a double challenge as they will also be playing in the DEL2 playoffs.
The Eisbären Regensburg have celebrated their first championship title in the DEL2, securing their place in the DEL for the following season. This victory also saves the DEL2 from having a vacant spot due to the bankruptcy of the Bietigheim Steelers.
